Rialto Police Department Selects Laserfiche to Replace OnBase

Complete Paperless Solutions (CPS) is pleased to announce that the Rialto Police Department has selected Laserfiche to replace its existing OnBase records management system.

CPS has been working with the Rialto Police Department for several years as the Department evaluated its long-term approach to managing electronic records. Concerns about the cost and functionality of its existing OnBase environment ultimately led the Department to explore Laserfiche as an alternative.

One of the most important considerations was preserving an existing integration with the Department's multifunction printers (MFPs). Staff currently use the devices to index documents and send them directly into the records system, making the functionality an important part of established day-to-day processes.

CPS was able to accommodate that requirement in the new Laserfiche environment, allowing the Department to maintain the familiar process while moving to a new records management platform.

As part of the project, CPS will transition the Department's existing OnBase content to Laserfiche and configure records retention within the repository.

The result will give the Rialto Police Department greater control over its records while providing a foundation that can continue to evolve as its needs change.

The decision also reflects the relationship CPS has built with the Department throughout the evaluation process. By working through both the migration and integration requirements before implementation, the Department can move forward with confidence that its new system supports not only its records management requirements, but the practical ways staff work with those records every day.
