I’ve been checking out some AI image editors lately and noticed that while many of them can remove or change clothes digitally, the quality of the skin rendering varies a lot. In some results, the skin looks smooth and natural, while in others, it’s just flat or strangely colored. It got me thinking — how does the AI even figure out skin texture if it can’t see it? Is it just guessing based on lighting and body shape, or are there deeper models behind it??? Curious what others have seen.

Skin texture is tricky for AI because it’s so subtle and varies person to person. Small changes in lighting or resolution can totally change how the model interprets it.
